About Rob Shults
Rob Shults is the managing partner of RLS Ventures. Three areas of focus are Golf Operations, Real Estate Development and Public & Private Investments that include seven primary business units:

In 1999, Rob Shults and Bob Barrett founded Honours Golf, a leading golf course development and management company in the southeastern United States. With over twenty golf clubs in its portfolio, Honours became known throughout the golf industry for exceeding expectations in customer service, agronomic conditions, and bottom-line results.
In 2015 Troon Golf purchased Honours Golf, led by its private equity owner Kohlberg and Company.
Following the successful development and sell of The Peninsula in Gulf Shores, Alabama, The United Company- through its subsidiary Scratch Golf, purchased The Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club and Craft Farms Golf Club in June 2023.
Prior to forming Honours Golf, Mr. Shults was with Wachovia Bank. He received his MBA from Vanderbilt University with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, following four years as a United States Army Officer. Mr. Shults was commissioned a Second Lieutenant following his graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, with a B.S. in Management and Systems Engineering. Rob and his wife Elizabeth live in Atlanta with their children Grace and Robert.
Rob and his wife are actively involved in Young President’s Organization, The Schenck School and are members of the Peachtree Presbyterian Church and The Church in the Pines.
